The Vipers are the official hockey team of Montpellier, a city in the south of France. The division 2 team is well established and has been so for more than 20 years. In the 2023 season they decided to create a women’s team.
Introducing the VENOM ROSES. The objectives were to create a distinct, consistent identity and naming that respected the club’s values, attracted a diverse audience, and maintained the club’s brand recognition.
I kept the Vipers’ snake mascot (key for brand brand awareness) and main colors, but feminized the snake’s eye for a more lethal look. The rose symbolizes strength, femininity, and passion for the game, while the thorns represent defense. I created a series of graphic elements that contribute to the team’s brand universe that can be used across various digital and print media. I also created custom merchandising and a social media look proposition.

The objective is to create not just a logo but a complete and generous universe for the brand. Through cohesive graphic elements and thoughtful visual details, the goal is to build an identity that tells a story, evokes emotions, and leaves a lasting impression.
The goal was to design merchandise that goes beyond simply showcasing the team’s logo. Instead of generic and loud items, the focus was on creating functional and versatile pieces, such as beanies, scarves, and eco-cups, that can seamlessly integrate into everyday life. While representing the Venom Roses hockey team, the merchandise maintains a balance between practicality and style.
